PA Gun Club Again Killing Hundreds of Birds in Illegal Trap Shoots - Take Action!

Seven months after being issued animal cruelty citations and agreeing to halt its live pigeon trap shoots, the Philadelphia Gun Club of Bensalem, PA has resumed its cruel and illegal shoots with another shoot possibly occurring as early as this weekend. HLP Director Elissa Katz has been monitoring the shoots and called on the Bensalem Township to enforce its own laws in a Philadelphia Inquirer article earlier this week.

Please take actions to help prevent further shoots! First, please email Bensalem Mayor DiGirolamo at jdg@bensalem-township.org and ask the township to take action to stop the pigeon shoots occuring at the Philadelphia Gun Club. Second, please contact or re-contact your state representative and senator and ask them why the bill to ban pigeon shoots has not yet been acted on - and request a commitment to support the legislation. Please click here to find contact information for your state senator and representative. For help or with any questions contact HLP Director Elissa Katz at ebk@meranzekatz.com .
